Captain Andreas Cleeves

Andreas Heinrich Cleeves (born 17 January 1778 in Hannover; dead 08. Juni 1830 in Selby/Yorkshire, England) was an Hanoverian Artillery Officer. He fought in different wars against the Napoleonic France as Captain of a Battery (King´s German Legion) in Portugal, Spain and Waterloo. Later on he attained the rank of a Lieutenant-colonel and was Commander of the Hanoverian Horse Artillery .
